Here is a collection of 152 classic cigarette lighters - all but one are petrol/liquid fuel powered. Of British, US, French, Austrian and Japanese manufacture Many different types dating from early 20th Century including 1st World War lighters - British, French and German (see the "Gott Mit Uns" German WW1 one). Some are made by prisoners of war, during WW2 - often from shells and brass. Check out the British Sovereign lighter and also the Napolean 3rd one. I had collected these some 45 years ago in the UK when working in the antique trade in London. Loved the fact that they are mechanical - have had them ever since. This is a RARE ZIPPO 1951 Advertising LIGHTER - RAREThis lighter is in great as found condition. This vintage full-size Zippo lighter is in a brushed chrome finish, ca. 1950. The lighter features a 4 color graphic of a fisherman. The caseback is engraved with the name DOUG 5TH DISTRICT CASTING CHAMPS BRIAR HOLLOW 51 (1951). The lighter is in very nice condition. Here is a very rare vintage cigarette lighter that honors the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers National Championship football teams in 1971 and 1972 (the 1970 and 1971 seasons). The lighter has Nebraska #1 71-72 Go Big Red stamped on the front of it. The bottom says High Quality Lighter, Penguin, No. 1157 Japan. I think the lighter probably very lightly used based on the felt inside the lighter looking like it never had lighter fluid in it. The wick is frayed and does show light burn marks on the tip. The outside of the lighter is in super condition and displays great.
