Offered here is a 1949-51 Zippo. It is a prototype for the first painted Period 3 Sport Series Hunter model. The hunter on the 1951-59 Sport Series production model has a bright red jacket and brown hat and the pointer dog is white standing on green grass. On this early prototype offered here the hunter's jacket is brown and the hat is red, while the dog and grass use black ink. This Zippo might be one-of-a kind.This Zippo has not been fired. It has no dents or spots and would be mint but for some light hairline scratches on the reverse. The paint is 100%. The insert is correct.
