This auction is for a vintage 1938 Zippo lighter in original condition. The lighter looks to have never been used. I am not 100% positive but that is how it looks to me.The lighter comes with its original gift box and paperwork. The chimney has 14 holes. The hinge has 4 barrels. The wheel spins freely. There is no strike when the wheel is turned. The case lid does not wiggle when opened. It is a crisp case. The "Windy" box with this lighter was the first design created of the Windy box. The later Windy boxes had lines showing wind and leaves blowing around. I read this box was made... | |
